Respect for the original
The 300SL is one of the great designs of the twentieth century. Every Montmarque commission begins from a position of respect for its proportions, its engineering and its place in Mercedes-Benz history.
Montmarque was created to take contemporary automotive engineering and blend it with the timeless design of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL. It is neither a restomod nor a replica. It begins with a genuine modern Mercedes-Benz automobile, which is then retro-customised and reshaped to pay homage to one of the most iconic forms in automotive history.

The 300SL is one of the great designs of the twentieth century. Every Montmarque commission begins from a position of respect for its proportions, its engineering and its place in Mercedes-Benz history.
Each commission starts with a genuine Mercedes-Benz vehicle and keeps that identity. Wherever practicable, Mercedes-Benz engineering and OEM components are preserved, supplemented only where the individual commission requires specialist parts.
Beauty that is only skin deep holds no interest. The car should be as impressive mechanically as it is visually — prepared, refined and tested with the same care as its surfaces.
Some commissions remain deliberately restrained, preserving the elegance and character of the original inspiration. Others become much more expressive. What they share is a higher level of mechanical specification, execution and personalisation.
